Adele entered the 2012 Grammy Awards with six nominations: Best Pop Solo Performance (Someone Like You), Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Short Form Music Video (Rolling In the Deep), Best Pop Vocal Album, and Album of the Year (21).

She left the Grammys with 6 awards, including the prestigious and much-coveted trifecta of record, song and album of the year.

The British songstress also made a triumphant return onstage, after recovering from vocal cord surgery.

Other big-winners from the awards were the Foo Fighters (5), and Kanye West (4).
