How to buy used cars

How to buy used cars When buying a new car on a budget your options can be pretty limited and often downright boring. For a car that gives you a bit more driving enjoyment without gouging your pocket, Your Money Magazine says look at what the second-hand market has to offer.
According to the latest issue of Your Money Magazine, a budget under $12,000 would restrict you to the cheapest new cars on the market, such as the Suzuki Alto. The same money could get you a 1999 BMW 523i E39 Steptronic, and that’s just one example.
Your Money Magazine managing editor Jackie Pearson says used cars are lot more affordable and can be very good value – if you pick the right one.
“We looked at JD Power ratings when putting together examples of good second-hand cars,” said Pearson. “You don’t want to waste your money so when choosing a used car, look out for low kilometres and a good price.”
