Calls for information from the public following an indecent assault in Katherine.
At around 7.45 last night (July 15), police received reports a group of 10 youths entered a property in Katherine South, with at least one armed with an edged weapon.
It’s alleged the group threatened two women before indecently assaulting them.
It’s further alleged the group damaged the property and stole items before fleeing the scene.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway.
Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Ordelman says “This was a traumatic incident for the victims involved and detectives from the Northern Investigations Section are working tirelessly to ensure those responsible are held to account.
“We believe at least one other residence was unlawfully entered in the area and we are urging people to review their CCTV and provide any information to police on 131 444. Please quote reference P24189984.”
