Shortly before 3pm on Friday afternoon (June 21), authorities received reports a vehicle had hit a female pedestrian in a cemetery carpark, before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to the Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.
A short time later the car was spotted in Daly River, with a tire deflation device bringing the vehicle to a stop.
Authorities say they found a large quantity of alcohol and cannabis inside the vehicle.
The occupants managed to flee into nearby bushland.
