The trial for the man accused of murdering 20-year-old Declan Laverty resumes in the Darwin Supreme Court today.

The bottle-shop worker was reportedly stabbed seven times in the BWS on Airport Tavern Drive, one of which pierced his heart – at which point the court heard he sent his mum Samara one last text message.
