A group of youths have been charged after a series of violent robberies across Darwin’s northern suburbs.
Two boys aged 13 and 16 and two girls aged 14 robbed a Casuarina service station early Tuesday morning, allegedly threatening an employee with a metal bar and then taking off with several items.
At 7am that same morning police say the group were then involved in a fight with a taxi driver in Moil, with the 13-year-old further accused of assaulting the driver with a chain.
The group then stole the taxi, and police located it later that day abandoned in Gray.
Dog Operations Unit and Strike Force Trident detectives arrested all four youths at separate residences throughout the day.
They’ve since been charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and causing property damage.
