A man is due to front Darwin Local Court today after allegedly assaulting his partner and causing significant injuries.
The 44-year-old-man allegedly repeatedly attacked the 42-year-old woman outside of a home in Malak before nearby witnesses came to help her on Monday night.
Police arrested the man at the scene, and the woman was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with head injuries, multiple broken bones, and facial fractures.
The man has been charged with acts intended to cause serious harm, and the Darwin Domestic Family Violence Unit is continuing investigations into the incident.
