Darwin’s own Jake Weatherald has been awarded a much awaited international call up.
He’s been selected in the Australia A team to take on Sri Lanka in Darwin next month.
His selection comes off the back of his stellar Sheffield Shield campaign for Tasmania last season in which he topped the overall runs tally.

Other players selected include Matt Renshaw, Nathan McSweeney and Kurtis Patterson.
The tour gets underway with a 50 over match at Marrara Cricket Ground on July 4.
