Police are seeking information about a letter opener found in Ludmilla
Police are appealing for information about a unique letter opener that was discarded in Ludmilla.
The letter opener, which has a knife blade about 20 centimetres, was found in Wells Street last week while police were investigating a series of break-ins in the area.
It has a number of distince features including a curved white handle which has been made to look like bone.
The handle has a diamond pattern and an image of a whale etched into it.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland says police are trying to work out where it came from are are keen to speak to the owner.
“We do not know yet if this item is linked to last week’s unlawful entries or not, but police are investigating all avenues,” Detective Bland says.
