Social workers and health and education experts will take the stand at the Northern Territory's juvenile justice royal commission after a guard confessed to grabbing Dylan Voller by the throat.
Derek Tasker, an Alice Springs detention centre guard, on Wednesday admitted grabbing former inmate Dylan Voller by the neck, but still maintained he was innocent of assault.
Footage from 2010 of the youth justice officer holding the then 13-year-old down by the neck as he was stripped naked in his cell was aired on national television last July.
Mr Tasker was charged and then acquitted of assaulting Voller over the incident.
Speaking outside the inquiry's Alice Springs hearing on Wednesday, Voller said Mr Tasker lied when he repeatedly denied choking other detainees and abusing Voller.
