Businesses And Cars Damaged In Katherine

Between 12.20am and 1.00am this morning, an unknown man has walked along Katherine Terrace and used an unknown implement to smash a number of windows on business premises and parked vehicles. No buildings were entered as a result.

The man is described as of Aboriginal appearance, skinny build and long dark hair. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a multi-coloured (red / green / yellow) singlet with a leaf decal on the front. The man also appeared to have his hair tied in a low bun.

Police in Katherine are currently working with business owners to source further CCTV in an attempt to identify the man.

Superintendent Daniel Shean from Katherine Division said, “This persons’ wanton act of criminal damage will not be tolerated.”

“Upon being identified, police will make every effort to ensure he is dealt with swiftly and brought before the court” he said.
