Chief weighs in on Cyclone Tracy monument, urging City of Darwin to listen to concerns

Chief Minister Eva Lawler says more consultation is needed on a proposed monument for the 50th anniversary of Cyclone Tracy and hopes the City of Darwin Council is listening to people’s concerns.
Ms Lawler says she expects the trade centre at the catholic school in Wadeye will need to be demolished after a fire on Friday, with two people arrested over the blaze.
The Chief also told Katie Woolf she doesn’t believe former Chief Minister Michael Gunner should have to pay back costs of political travel during the 2020 election as the guidelines were unclear.
