Deputy Chief Minister Gerard Maley says the NT Government is waiting to hear from the Prime Minister after a national security meeting following the US strike on Iran.

Asked about concerns from AMSANT regarding Public Safety Officers, Mr Maley said the uniformed well-trained officers will have back-up from police as needed, adding that the CLP believes the approach will make a big difference to community safety.

He also told Katie Woolf the NT is sourcing Correctional Officers from South Australia who will do an 8-week rotation in Alice Springs as a stop-gap measure.
