Police hope new reward of $500k will lead to the discovery of Peter Falconio’s body, with convicted killer Bradley John Murdoch on his deathbed

Assistant Police Commissioner Travis Wurst says a fresh reward of $500,000 has been announced for information leading to the discovery of Peter Falconio’s body, ahead of the 24th anniversary of his disappearance.
It comes after reports convicted killer Bradley John Murdoch is on his death bed and has gone into palliative care at Alice Springs Hospital having been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019.
Assistant Commissioner Wurst told Katie Woolf police have never stopped investigating the cold case due to the ‘no body, no parole’ laws and recently re-interviewed Murdoch but he hasn’t been forthcoming with information.
He says Mr Falconio’s family are aging, and police hold hope the reward will provide some closure.
