According to Illumination CEO and producer Chris Meledandri, the story will draw inspiration from the beloved “Super Mario Galaxy” video games while also offering plenty of surprises for longtime fans. Directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will return to lead the project, ensuring continuity with the original film’s creative vision. Adding to the magic, composer Brian Tyler will once again craft the score, blending iconic themes from the games with new music for an unforgettable cinematic experience.
