Chief says NT moving into 4th place in CommSec report is something to celebrate, attributing it to CLP’s reforms and private sector confidence

Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro says the NT has achieved its best ranking in almost a decade in the latest CommSec State of the States report and is leading the nation on multiple growth indicators, attributing it to the CLP creating confidence to stimulate private sector investment.

Asked about St Vincent De Paul Society’s development application to extend the lease of Ozanam House in Coconut Grove until 2029, the Chief said it could take until May next year for government land to be allocated as a permanent site for the facility.

The Chief also told Katie Woolf the allegations against the Member for Nightcliff of misusing her electorate office for electioneering were deemed serious enough by the Speaker to be referred to the Privileges Committee for investigation.
