We’re being urged to be careful of counterfeit notes, following a rise in fake cash circulating in the Territory.
The equivalent of more than $19,000 in fake money has been seized in the NT since September.
Authorities say the latest batch of fake cash appears real, however has the word PROPS written in small text on one side of each note.

Offences related to producing counterfeit notes can carry maximum penalties of up to 14 years imprisonment.
