A woman has allegedly had her car stolen while sleeping at Katherine Hot Springs.
Police say a group of around 5 men approached her white hatchback while she was asleep inside at around 1:30 this morning (January 16).
It’s alleged the group stole the car, before attempting to steal a security officer’s car in Katherine CBD a short time later.

The group was stopped a short time later when police set up a Tire Deflation Device.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in relation to the incident, with searches continuing for the other alleged offenders.
