Authorities have been called to a Secondary School in Katherine following reports of an alleged fight involving a number of girls.
Police were alerted to an incident involving a group of female students on Thursday afternoon (February 5).
An Aboriginal Liaison Officer at the scene was able to intervene during the brawl.
It’s alleged an edged weapon was found at the scene, however police say it wasn’t used during the fight.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Katherine Division Acting Superintendent Warren Scott says investigations are underway.
“The NTPF is working closely with the Department of Education NT to ensure that every child feels and is safe when going to school”.
