Steve Edgington has acknowledged the crisis that has engulfed St John Ambulance after the paramedic service was unable to fulfill its duties over the weekend.

Following a surge in demand, St John was forced to call a Operational Capacity White, which is a critical system failure despite mitigation strategies.

Mr Edgington said the Government will work with St John to deliver what is required and to negotiate a longer term contract to ensure funding certainty.
