Head of AFL NT Sam Gibson is calling for an urgent summit to ensure the community footy comp still goes ahead in Alice Springs.

It comes after the Council decided to withdraw its support for the comp, removing access to local grounds due to concerns about ongoing crime.

Mr Gibson told Katie Woolf they’re considering all options including reducing the number of competitions and new by-laws encouraging good behaviour.
