Alcohol plans submitted for four communities, 30 more being developed with range of measures
Member for Fannie Bay Brent Potter says the City of Darwin should review the design of its Cyclone Tracy monument given the extent of community backlash, adding that it’s out of the NT Government’s hands.
Mr Potter, who is also the Police Minister, told Katie Woolf 64 police recruits are graduating this Friday and 14 will be staying in Darwin, 35 are being deployed to Alice Springs and 16 are going to Katherine.
After revelations in budget estimates of the immense pressure on police, the Minister says the NT does have enough police, citing the substantial response to a robbery and car theft in Nightcliff on the weekend.
Mr Potter went on to say four communities have submitted alcohol management plans, with 30 still being developed and another 100 registering their interest.
