Member for Araluen Robyn Lambley says Alice Springs being ranked as the 18th most dangerous city in the world, equal to Tijuana in Mexico according to crime index data published by Numbeo is shameful and damaging to the tourism industry.

She told Katie Woolf it’s also a bit strange that Alice Springs ranked so highly against large developing cities in countries renowned for rioting, gangs and organised crime.

Ms Lambley says with no Australian city making the list before it really hits home how rotten things are in Alice, pointing to multiple home invasions involving edged weapons across the weekend.
