Property Council of Australia NT Executive Director Ruth Palmer says the Territory is well placed to host part of the Commonwealth Games, with sporting facilities at Marrara up to international standards.

She told Katie Woolf the games could be delivered right across Northern Australia in places like Townsville, Cairns and WA in addition to the NT.

Ms Palmer says it would bring a huge economic boost to those regions and she’s pushing for governments to seriously consider the idea.
