Calls for RSV vaccines, which cost $350 to be federally funded for babies amid spike in cases

Immunisation Foundation of Australia’s Director Catherine Hughes says there have been more than 1,000 cases of RSV in the NT so far this year, double that of last year.

She told Katie Woolf it’s a postcode lottery when it comes to vaccines, which cost $350 in the NT, while some of the states provide it for free to babies at birth.

Ms Hughes is calling on the Federal Government to fund the vaccine for all babies and make it more affordable for adults, particularly seniors.
