Central Australia to lose 30,000 seats as Bonza Airlines goes into voluntary administration

Tourism Central Australia CEO Danial Rochford expects Bonza won’t bounce back after going into voluntary administration, which will see the region lose 30,000 airline seats.

He told Katie Woolf the airline had provided a ray of hope for residents and the tourism industry, boosting competition and adding extra seats at a low cost.

Mr Rochford says it’s a kick in the guts for the already fragile industry, prompting fresh calls for the NT and Federal Governments to provide urgent economic recovery support.
