Chief Min leaves police to restore order in Alice Springs with no plans to get help from the Feds

Chief Minister Eva Lawler says there are an additional 23 police officers in Alice Springs who will be making further arrests following absolute havoc yesterday afternoon linked to cultural payback.

She told Katie Woolf extra police will be surged in if needed to stay on top of the crime in Alice, with no plans to enlist the help of the Federal Government.

Ms Lawler says she has also had talks with the Police Commissioner about what needs to be done to calm the disputes between family groups.
