Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro says the NT Government’s crime and safety announcements are weak and won’t improve the lives of Territorians.

She told Katie Woolf the CLP will take steps to get legislation drawn up that will introduce a presumption against bail for edged weapon offences.

Ms Finocchiaro says the party also offered to work with the NT Government in parliament yesterday to bring about urgent change on crime but they “laughed in our face.”
