Chief Minister says AFP charges over major fraud case doesn’t reflect on the whole NT building industry
Lia Finocchiaro says she has directed the Treasurer to investigate whether any outstanding contracts from the NT Government are connected with the company alleged to have defrauded the Commonwealth Government.
On Friday, the Australian Federal Police announced three people had been arrested and charged – accused of funnelling almost $71 million in contracts to a business they controlled.
All three people have been charged with dishonestly gaining a benefit from a Commonwealth entity, while the Defence staffer also faces a charge of abusing public office.
