Chief Minister to meet with Federal Opposition Leader seeking support seven key priorities

Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro says she’ll meet with Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton today and is seeking bi-partisan support for the NT Government’s seven key priorities including the distribution of Centrelink payments on alcohol-free days and a work for the dole program.

The Chief also told Katie Woolf an extra 48 beds came online in NT prisons last week and another 96 are due to be ready this weekend, with prisoner numbers at a record high.

Ms Finocchiaro says 2,650 were locked up as of Monday, the same day 32 new recruits started training to become corrections officers.
