CLP brushes off new poll that puts Labor ahead, staying focused on its election pitch
Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro says she’s not getting caught up in polling that puts Labor marginally ahead of the CLP on the primary vote and is staying focused on touting the CLP’s plan to grow the economy, reduce crime and restore the NT lifestyle.
When questioned about NAAJA following the resignation of a number of female executives, Ms Finocchiaro said an investigation, inquiry or management support is needed to sort things out within the nation’s largest Aboriginal legal service.
Ms Finocchiaro says the CLP would reinstate drug and alcohol services if elected in August and mandatory treatment for people with chronic addictions, with the Darwin rehab to close next month to make way for a new women’s prison.
