CLP conflicted over scrapping middle school but staunch on getting kids into school to curb crime

Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro has taken aim at Police Minister Brent Potter claiming he’s resorted to blaming the judiciary for Labor’s failure to address crime over two decades.

She told Katie Woolf tougher laws and consequences would be introduced for young offenders under the CLP as well as measures forcing kids to attend school.

Mr Finocchiaro says the CLP would follow the government’s commitment to scrap middle school despite its education spokesperson Jo Hersey, last week saying it wouldn’t do that.
