CLP pledges to immediately strengthen bail laws, slashing second chances, if elected in August

Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro says the CLP would act quickly to strengthen bail so offenders don’t get second chances if they’re elected in August.

She told Katie Woolf questions remain as to how Police Minister Brent Potter learnt about charges relating to Josh Burgoyne’s car crash in Alice Springs before he did.

Ms Finocchiaro also claims there aren’t enough PALIs manning bottle shops in Alice Springs, which is causing chaos at stores, with more than 30 PALIs undertaking a fast-tracked training course to become Constables.
