Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro says it’s the wrong time for the Police Commissioner to be making an apology to Aboriginal people with the Force going through tumultuous times.

Ms Finocchiaro believes Labor would have known about the apology and is wondering why Territorians weren’t informed, saying it came as a surprise.

She also told Katie Woolf it’s unclear how the government plans to fix the mess following revelations sanctions for unpaid fines are not enforceable.
