Commonwealth picking up slack for NTG after it raised the age of criminal responsibility, says MP

Member for Lingiari Marion Scrymgour says on-country programs are being Federally funded for 50 at-risk youth in Alice Springs, with support to also be provided to families.
She told Katie Woolf $30 million will also go to community organisations to tackle domestic and family violence including a men’s behavioural change program.
Ms Scrymgour says the Federal Government is committed to looking into needs-based funding and working with the NT Government to adequately fund services.
She also took aim at the NT Government for not having enough secure facilities for youth in place before raising the age of criminal responsibility.
