Councillor sheds light on plans to replace dirty concrete in Darwin CBD with tiles from Indonesia

City of Darwin Councillor Mick Palmer says plans to replace aggregate concrete on the footpath along Cavanagh Street have been in the works for some time because it looks dirty and is hard to clean.

He told Katie Woolf tiles have been ordered from Indonesia which can be laid without having to rip up the concrete, adding that they are safe and not slippery like bathroom tiles can be.

Councillor Palmer says he has had talks with some businesses, adding that the work would only take a couple of days.
