Counsellors to rotate across secondary schools with recruitment underway to fill more roles

Education Department Executive Director of Inclusion and Engagement Services Aderyn Chatterton says counsellors will rotate between government schools using a new triage system.

She told Katie Woolf, out of 30 counsellor positions, recruitment is still underway for six roles which will be spread across senior and secondary schools.

Ms Chatterton says the changes aim to ensure mental health support is equitable across all government schools.
