NT Senator Jacinta Price says violence and riots on the streets of Alice Springs are believed to be due to cultural payback following a fatal car crash.

She told Katie Woolf the riot squad or Defence Force needs to be brought in to bring calm to the town.

Ms Price is urging the NT Government to reach out to the Federal Government to help address the issues in Alice and ensure the community feels safe.

The Senator also fears the violence isn’t over.
