NT Treasurer Eva Lawler says the government will work with Clough to ensure the Darwin ship lift goes ahead after the company went into administration. 

She told Katie Woolf that funding has already been paid to the Clough-BMD joint venture for design work on the project. 

Regarding pay negotiations, Ms Lawler says the government is still working through the budgetary process despite providing a new offer for teachers. 

She also flagged that a shake up of the government school funding model would be a long way off.
