Darwin expectant mother Maddy says she’d still be waiting to have a 12 week pregnancy scan if she didn’t drive 3 hours to Katherine for it.

She told Katie Woolf there are significant wait times for the scans in Darwin which she believes is due to a lack of trained staff.

Maddy says the health system isn’t coping with the number of pregnant women.
