Darwin’s Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis says any new bike lanes in the CBD will be created differently from those in the past, prioritising the safety of all road users.

He told Katie Woolf for that to happen speed limits would have to be reduced to 40 kilometres per hour in the CBD.

The Mayor says the NT Government is considering allowing scooters to be ridden on the road which he supports only if there are designated areas to separate them from cars.
