Poppy Politis says her 85-year-old mother was pushed to the ground and had her handbag stolen after getting out of a car in Nightcliff.
She told Katie Woolf her mother, who’s a tough independent woman, was shaking like a baby following the attack and has been left traumatised.
Ms Politis says she is fed up with crime and the lack of action from the NT Government, with her family considering leaving the Territory, where her parents have called home for 65 years.
A 19-year-old woman has been charged with robbery over the incident and has been granted bail to face court in Wadeye in January.
