Declan’s Law and posting and boasting, among huge parliament agenda for CLP Government

Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro outlines a string of reforms called Declan’s Law that the government plans to pass in the first sittings of parliament, which start next Tuesday.

She told Katie Woolf the laws include a presumption against bail for serious violent offenders and mandatory electronic monitoring, with breach of bail to become an offence.

Ms Finocchiaro says posting and boasting laws are also on the agenda which would carry a penalty of up to two years jail for promoting crime on social media.
