Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro says if people don’t want to wear spit hoods, they shouldn’t spit blood and saliva in the face of police officers.

It comes after the NT Ombudsman released a report calling for spit hoods to be banned for adults and for the ban to be made law. 

Ms Finocchiaro also told Katie Woolf it’s disappointing their bail amendments did not get up in NT parliament, as she claims it would ease pressure on police and prevent crime.
