Attorney General Marie-Clare Boothby says the 71-year-old man, seriously injured in a violent home invasion in Woodroffe has undergone surgery and is recovering in hospital.

She told Katie Woolf the elderly man is a much-loved member of the community, who’s been involved with the Palmerston Seniors Group and has promised to do more to ensure there are tougher consequences for youth.

Ms Boothby also shed light on the new lease for Kakadu National Park, with Gunlom Falls to reopen in May.
