Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro says she supports the government’s plan to conduct extensive consultation on voluntary assisted dying before legislating on it. 

She told Katie Woolf the party is calling for a Select Committee to be established to take submissions and hold public hearings across the NT. 

Ms Finocchiaro says euthanasia laws need to be developed very carefully.
