Minister for Major Events Paul Kirby says the NT Government will do all it can to make sure the annual match between the Melbourne Demons and GWS Giants proceeds in Alice after reports the AFL is considering pulling the match.

He told Katie Woolf the event brings a massive economic and tourism boost to the Red Centre and talks with the AFL will be held in coming days.

Mr Kirby also gave an update on EBAs, saying a 3 per cent pay offer has been made to power and water workers, while 86 per cent of police voted in support of their offer.
