Extra police to stay in Alice Springs until end of January as part of Operation Drina

Assistant Commissioner of Regional and Remote Policing Martin Dole says extra officers will remain in Alice Springs until the end of January as part of Operation Drina.

There will also be 14 new recruits heading to the town on Monday to help keep crime and anti-social behaviour at bay.

Assistant Commissioner Dole told Katie Woolf police have made more than 100 arrests, issued 157 traffic fines and have tipped out almost 900 litres of grog since the operation began.
