Extra resources to be allocated to Tennant Creek for an emergency response, following the potential for the Epenarra bushfire to spread says Bushfires NT

Bushfires NT incident Controller Tony Fuller says the Epenarra bushfire has now spread more than 10.5 thousand kilometres.

He told Katie Woolf they are monitoring 200km of the active fire edge, with concerns easterly winds could move the fire to the Stuart Highway and Tennant Creek in the next few days.

Mr Fuller says there is no relief in sight, as wind conditions will change and get worse toward the end of this week.
