Federal Assistant Minister for Social Security, Ageing and Women Kate Thwaites says the NT receives more Federal funding to tackle domestic violence than its per capita allocation.

It comes after a 36-year-old man was today charged with murdering his 22-year-old partner in Katherine on Monday.

Ms Thwaites, who is in Darwin this week, told Katie Woolf there is no quick fix to domestic violence adding that the Territory has received $183 million in Commonwealth funding.
